Failed to load settings

When I connect my Zoop, the program (DM5) says that it is "Downloading...". However, after a few seconds I get a "Failed to load settings" error. As a result, I have been unable to download any dives.

A little help, please.

Failed to load settings error

My Zoop connects to the computer and actually says that it "downloading dives 0%" for a few seconds and then shows the "failed to load settings" error. Any help?

How do I restore my history on my zoop + sampling question

1) I reset my history - how can I restore it?
2) My sample rate is 30s on the DM4 and the zoop but I can see data at 10s intervals. I changed DM4 to 10s sample rate and resync'd the dives; however, it only took them at the 30s rate. How do I get my zoop to send ALL the data points to the DM4 vs. just the 30s samples.

Fresh Water Diving

Would like to know if this computer would be suitable for fresh water diving. For example will it take into account the temperature and adjust my NDL accordingly?

Some other computers have a setting to manually set fresh/salt, this watch does not have that feature but I cannot tell if it just automatically adjusts based on water temperature.

DM5 can't detect my zoop - driver has no signature

DM5 software won't detect my zoop.
Running windows 7, have made sure it's the most up to date driver.
Have uninstalled and reinstall both drivers and DM5 software.
Have made sure the zoop is in 'PC SET' mode.
Driver shows '!' in COM Port properties. Windows says,
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

Not point keeping this product if it won't connect!

Please be informed a new version of DM5 has been released, which will fix most of the issues experienced. You can get the update by just starting DM5 and upgrading through automatic upgrade or downloading the latest version from the download links below.

What is the diameter of the circular face of the Zoop, outside edge to edge, without the part that attaches to straps.

Need to determine if face will fit through hole in my console.

zoop not connecting after upgrade DM4->DM5

I am running windows 8.1 and just upgraded from DM4 to DM5. Now I can't get my Zoop to connect. I wiggeled the cable, used different USB ports, restarted the laptop. No success. Any good ideas?

i have this trouble as well (windows XP ) they seem to have know idea how to fix it ........ i try the link with no luck . i can roll back to DM 4 and it works fine than auto update to DM 5 starts...
been going on for 2 weeks now

Whenever it is believed that factors that tend to increase the possibility of DCI exist, it is recommended that you use this option to make the calculations more conservative.

Failure to select the correct Personal Adjustment setting will result in erroneous dive and planning data.

Question

My zoop said Im above my ceiling of 165 feet and says i am in water when i am not

I went on a dive today and it did not enter dive mode, as it was a shallow dive we referenced my wife's zoop. Half way througgh the dive it started to run then went wonky. The battery is full. Even as i type this the ceiling number keeps increasing. This device has only seen 15 dives in its life. They were both used on all the same dives, cleaned and stored together.

Question

DM4 quit unexpectedly after connecting dive computer

I try to upload a new dive from the dive computer to the MAC.
I open the app SUUNTO DM4, I insert the USB cable connected to the Suunto ZOOP and then I get following abnormal termination:
"mono quit unexpectedly".
Remarks: I already succeeded uploading dives in the past (last year), I'm using OS X 10.9.4. I tried to reinstall DM4 a few times, same result.

Question

cannot start DM4

after my dive today i started up DM 4. imeediately it started tot update. after this update a reboot was necessary but over and over again it asked if i wanted to download GTK#UI framework version 2.12.21.
and now i cannot start DM4 anymore.

if i'm not mistaken this happend once more in the past.

urgent recommandation to Suunto: make the software better.
three points:
1) backups cannot be loaded into dm4
2) after cleaning the computer, everything is gone( all Your dives) and you need to reinstall DM4.
3) GTK#UI framework v2.12.21 will not run.

I was ignoring the update request for about 2 weeks until today I said "Yes" for the update and also ended up in infinite loop of downloading the same setup.exe, executing it and getting the same message again and again: "Missing UI framework" "Suunto DM4 with Movescount requires GTK# UI framework (version 2.12.21). Would you want to download it? "
I did try to restart my laptop several times, remove DM4 from windows control panel. Even I tried to execute old setup file which first pointed to version 2.12.20 but now it always goes back to the message with 2.12.21. I e-mailed the technical issue to Suunto at support@suunto.com. Lets see what they will say if it is their server file or script corruption.

Why does my Zoop randomly beep?

I bought my zoop last year and dove with it successfully many times. Last month I brought it back to Thailand with me in my carry on from Canada. Now, since arriving in Thailand the zoop randomly beeps a single time. It might go minutes or hours between beeps. I haven't been able to see the display while it beeps, nor have I gone diving with it since this started.

Is there a setting/alarm that's been activated?

Hi the zoop beeps to turn off after activation either by pushing the button to activate usually 20 mins or so or if the water contacts are activated if it is showing ac on the screen the contacts have been activated clean them with vinegar and also make sure the unit is dryed after use -your post does not mention battery status shown when you power up the unit regards Robert

Cannot Download DM4

I have tried to download the DM4 program onto my Windows 8 operating system for several days now. It keeps giving me the error message that it requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). It asks if I want to download it. I say yes and it takes me to the "download" screen on my computer. So I went out and found Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 myself and tried to download it. It won't download on my machine because it says there is a newer version already on my machine. I can't figure out how to tell it to download it anyway. Can you help me with this?

The memory of a diving computer cannot unfortunately be reset as this is a circle memory.
The diving computer will start automatically overwriting the oldest dives when the memory capacity is exceeded. The maximum depth in the history memory can be zeroed but this can be done only in the Dive Manager software.

How do I keep the current dive going through a short surface interfval?

I'm an instructor and frequently surface with students for ascent skills as well as problem management. sometimes there is a discussion that occurs and it can be 5-10 minutes before descent. I have another computer that allows me to specify a minimum surface interval before the dive is terminated and a new dive begins. Zoop is new to me. I have 18 entries in DM 4 for what were really 9 dives. Looks like it resets after 5 minutes. I can see all my ascents for CESA's on one dive since I went right back down.

Maybe bungee with a d clip to your ankle will stop it restarting a dive as long as the zoop is below 1.5 meters pain in the a but will show the whole dive rather than new dive
