Both my wife's and my dives are not all imported into DM5
We have the latest DM5 installed on both a laptop and a PC. We had the laptop in Cozumel and after the first day (3 dives each) we did the import function. It imported one of my wife's dives and none of mine, even though the main device screen showed the correct number of dives. The dives just don't show up in the "Dives" menu section on the right. So, we gave up and decided to wait until we got home. I just downloaded (imported) all 13 Cozumel dives into the PC DM5 from my Zoop and only 11 of the 13 dives show up on the Dives area, even though the device pages shows all 13 exist. The 2 missing dives were numbers 9 and 10 in the sequence of dives. Nothing extraordinary about them. Very frustrating that I can see the dives in LOGBOOK on the Zoop but cannot get them into the software.
The memory will retain approximately the last 50 hours of dive time. After that, when new dives are added, the oldest dives are deleted. The contents of the memory will remain when the battery is changed (assuming that the replacement has been done according to the instructions).
What Will happen if you free dive with this device?
Hi, it seems like a few people out there is wondering if you can free dive with this thing or not. I'm one of these people. What will really happened if you decide to free dive with it? will it give out false information because it's not built for free diving? If all you need is depth and time wouldn't it work for free diving as well?
After DM5 upgrade cannot download dives or make changes
DM5 was working fine and today it updated itself. Now, I can see how many dives are on the device, and it is connected properly, BUT: - I cannot download any new dives - I cannot make any changes to the device (trying to save settings just has endless "saving" loop)
How can this be put into a gauge mode. ie. Depth and time only with no decompression a calculations. I notice that someone's question was answered about a free diving mode to say the zoop has a gauge mode instead. Yet the menu only gives options for air/nitrox and the manual does not mention gauge mode
Suunto DM5 is looping hours by configuring Mono on MAC
Hi, i've tried several times to get DM5 running on my iMAC with OSX 10.7.5 First i downloaded and installed Mono version 3.12.0 and then installed the DM5 Application in the Program Folder. After clicking on the DM5 Application the Message pops up, that DM5 is configuring Mono and the Symbol is rotating for hours without any more Informations. Just a Shutdown is killing the Operation. Is there any Debug Output that can be seen, to locate the Problem, why DM5 is not finishing the configuration Process? Or is there an additional need of other sideTools like Java to get DM5 running on Apple Computers?
Do you mean a surface-interval display? If so, yes, and you can switch between that and the time-of-day display (pages 47-49 of the manual).
All computers, when you surface after a dive, keep track automatically of their inert-gas-loading model, and the Zoop has a dive-planning mode that gives you an estimate of no-deco time at different depths - if that's what you mean by "automatic time calculating."
I have a 20 year old Suunto console (SPG, hole for Suunto Solution Alpha, compass). Will a Zoop fit in the hole for the Solution Alpha? The Solution Alpha manual says that it has a diameter of 61.5mm and a depth of 30.0mm, and the Zoop says that it is 61.4 x 60.6 x 27.2mm. That's awfully close!
Is the Zoop available as just a puck, or can a puck be extracted from the less expensive wrist mount, and will it fit in the old Solution Alpha console?
Solved the problem myself, after you get message "failed to load settings" go down the page to the box where you can enter personal information, add your name or other text, Zoop will then syncronize and download will restart
I had same problem, after you get message "failed to load settings" go down the page to the box where you can enter personal information, add your name or other text, Zoop will then syncronize and download will restart
DM5 can't detect my zoop - driver has no signature
DM5 software won't detect my zoop. Running windows 7, have made sure it's the most up to date driver. Have uninstalled and reinstall both drivers and DM5 software. Have made sure the zoop is in 'PC SET' mode. Driver shows '!' in COM Port properties. Windows says, "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"
Not point keeping this product if it won't connect!
Please be informed a new version of DM5 has been released, which will fix most of the issues experienced. You can get the update by just starting DM5 and upgrading through automatic upgrade or downloading the latest version from the download links below.
