Purchased 2 years ago in Bonaire

It worked well in Bonaire. Just used it again in Belize two years later. Showed low battery so the Instructor changed it out for me. It was working but telling me I needed a 10 minute safety stop instead of 3 min. We actually stayed at 15 ft. for 10 minutes to try and clear it after a 65 ft. dive. It still would not clear. I was ready to pitch it but David, the Instructor in charge at Hamanasi in Belize said wonderful things about the Suunto company. He told me to contact you to see if the problem could be fixed. What can I do? I'm a 61 year old female and not really computer savvy. I got this model because it seemed very user friendly. Please help. I have been diving for 35 years. Every 2 years.

dislpay doesnt turn off and no response from buttons

Hello... I have had a Zoop for a few years, used it only a couple times, worked great until recently. I havent used it in about a year, I turned it on about a week ago, it doesnt respond when you press buttons, cant get into menus or anything and it wont turn off. Its been on for over a week and the screen stays on.

Question

Change dive number?

Is it possible to change the sequential dive number in the Zoop to match my actual dive history? I have done 43 dives but only 24 of those are with my current Zoop so it will state that my 44th dive will be dive # 25....

List Personal adjustment not correct in DM5

My Zoop is set to P1 A0. With DM4 downloads, the values in the dive logs were correct. With DM5 it registers as P0 A0 even though I still have the computer set to P1 A0. Is this a glitch in the DM5 software?

Suunto DM5 is looping hours by configuring Mono on MAC

Hi,
i've tried several times to get DM5 running on my iMAC with OSX 10.7.5
First i downloaded and installed Mono version 3.12.0 and then installed the DM5 Application in the Program Folder. After clicking on the DM5 Application the Message pops up, that DM5 is configuring Mono and the Symbol is rotating for hours without any more Informations.
Just a Shutdown is killing the Operation.
Is there any Debug Output that can be seen, to locate the Problem, why DM5 is not finishing the configuration Process?
Or is there an additional need of other sideTools like Java to get DM5 running on Apple Computers?

Hi,

the actual Mono Release 4.0 with yosemite seems to be the problem.

This issue could be very quck fixed with the following steps which have worked for me:

Close DM5 Looping Dialog Window:

- Open Activity Manager during Spotlight and terminate the DM5 Application
- Or during the Apple Menu

Uninstall the Mono 4.0 from the system:

- Navigate with finder to /libary/Frameworks and delete the complete Mono.Framework.... to the recycle bin
- Empy Recycle Bin

Install the Mono 3.12 Release on the system:

- Download the pkg from: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mono.mirror/files/Mono%203.12.1/

- Install it

- Restart DM5 and it should be working

Will a Zoop fit in an old Solution Alpha console?

I have a 20 year old Suunto console (SPG, hole for Suunto Solution Alpha, compass). Will a Zoop fit in the hole for the Solution Alpha? The Solution Alpha manual says that it has a diameter of 61.5mm and a depth of 30.0mm, and the Zoop says that it is 61.4 x 60.6 x 27.2mm. That's awfully close!

Is the Zoop available as just a puck, or can a puck be extracted from the less expensive wrist mount, and will it fit in the old Solution Alpha console?

The Suunto Zoop will fit as it is smaller in size. Nevertheless, you can visit a local dive shop for more information on how to purchase just the module.

Firstly, please make sure you have the latest DM5 version installed: http://www.movescount.com/connect/dm5.

Also, please make sure that those 28 dives are stored in your Suunto Zoop's Logbook, not in the History.

Solved the problem myself, after you get message "failed to load settings" go down the page to the box where you can enter personal information, add your name or other text, Zoop will then syncronize and download will restart

My Zoop connects to the computer and actually says that it "downloading dives 0%" for a few seconds and then shows the "failed to load settings" error. Any help?

Fresh Water Diving

Would like to know if this computer would be suitable for fresh water diving. For example will it take into account the temperature and adjust my NDL accordingly?

Some other computers have a setting to manually set fresh/salt, this watch does not have that feature but I cannot tell if it just automatically adjusts based on water temperature.

Please be advised that even though the Suunto Zoop does not have a setting to manually set fresh/salt water, it will still be suitable for diving in both cases.

DM5 can't detect my zoop - driver has no signature

DM5 software won't detect my zoop.
Running windows 7, have made sure it's the most up to date driver.
Have uninstalled and reinstall both drivers and DM5 software.
Have made sure the zoop is in 'PC SET' mode.
Driver shows '!' in COM Port properties. Windows says,
"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)"

Not point keeping this product if it won't connect!

Please be informed a new version of DM5 has been released, which will fix most of the issues experienced. You can get the update by just starting DM5 and upgrading through automatic upgrade or downloading the latest version from the download links below.

zoop not connecting after upgrade DM4->DM5

I am running windows 8.1 and just upgraded from DM4 to DM5. Now I can't get my Zoop to connect. I wiggeled the cable, used different USB ports, restarted the laptop. No success. Any good ideas?

i have this trouble as well (windows XP ) they seem to have know idea how to fix it ........ i try the link with no luck . i can roll back to DM 4 and it works fine than auto update to DM 5 starts...

Whenever it is believed that factors that tend to increase the possibility of DCI exist, it is recommended that you use this option to make the calculations more conservative.

Failure to select the correct Personal Adjustment setting will result in erroneous dive and planning data.

Question

My zoop said Im above my ceiling of 165 feet and says i am in water when i am not

I went on a dive today and it did not enter dive mode, as it was a shallow dive we referenced my wife's zoop. Half way througgh the dive it started to run then went wonky. The battery is full. Even as i type this the ceiling number keeps increasing. This device has only seen 15 dives in its life. They were both used on all the same dives, cleaned and stored together.
