This behavior is not normal for a Suunto unit; even very intensive usage should permit the battery to last at least 6 months. To fix this issue, please send your Suunto M4 in for Service Repair. There are two ways of doing this.
1) The more direct way is by locating and contacting a Service Center in your vicinity. Please follow this link to find the closest service center to you: http://locator.suunto.com/. Choose your country and check the boxes "Service Center" and "Sports Watches & Instruments".
2) You can also fill in a Repair Service Form yourself to have it sent and repaired in the main Service Center in Ogden, Utah. Please follow this link: http://www.suunto.com/Support/ . Choose “Repair Service”, “Online service request”, your country and fill in all your personal data.
The cost of the Service Repair depends on the warranty and the nature of the error. All of our products with a display have 2 years of warranty (1 year of warranty for accessories like straps, belts, PODs, ...), starting from the date of purchase. If the product is deemed under warranty, the fix will not cost anything. If the product is not under warranty, there is a minimal €23 cost involved for fault analysis and freight.
